Zechariah

Prophet Yahya (John the Baptist), son of Zakariya, was granted wisdom as a child, confirmed the Word of God (Jesus), and was martyred for speaking truth to a corrupt ruler — embodying ascetic devotion, moral courage, and prophetic integrity.

Known as Zakariya in Arabic, Zechariah was a righteous prophet and priest who served in the Temple of Jerusalem, guardian of Mary, and father of John the Baptist, blessed with a miraculous son in his old age.
