Isaac

Known as Ishaq in Arabic, Isaac was the second son of Abraham, born to Sarah in her old age, a prophet who continued the Abrahamic covenant and became the father of Jacob and grandfather of the twelve tribes of Israel.

Prophet Yaqub (Jacob), grandson of Ibrahim and father of the twelve tribes of Israel, endured decades of grief over the loss of his beloved son Yusuf with a patience that became the Quranic paradigm of beautiful endurance (sabr jamil).
