Pakistan Movement

Allama Muhammad Iqbal (1877-1938 CE) was a poet-philosopher and political leader considered the spiritual father of Pakistan. His poetry, philosophical works, and vision of Islamic revival profoundly influenced the Muslim world.

A scholar of hadith and Qur'anic commentary who taught at Darul Uloom Deoband and Dabhel, completed Tafsir-e-Usmani, and began the Arabic commentary Fath al-Mulhim. He led the Deobandi scholars who supported the creation of Pakistan and sat in its first Constituent Assembly.
