The Prophets of Islam

The Quran names twenty-five prophets who were sent by God to guide humanity across thousands of years of sacred history — from Adam, the first human and first prophet, through the great patriarchs Ibrahim, Ishaq, and Yaqub, the liberator Musa, the prophet-kings Dawud and Sulaiman, and the Messiah Isa, to the final prophet Muhammad ﷺ whose message completed and sealed the prophetic chain.

Each prophet brought the same essential message of tawhid (the oneness of God) while addressing the specific circumstances of his community. Together they form an unbroken chain of divine guidance — each confirming those who came before and preparing for those who would come after — demonstrating God's continuous mercy toward humanity and His refusal to leave any generation without a guide.

This collection gathers all twenty-five prophets explicitly named in the Quran, arranged in their traditional chronological order. Their stories encompass the full range of human experience: creation and fall, perseverance and patience, liberation and law, wisdom and worship, compassion and courage, and the ultimate triumph of truth over falsehood.
